818 Ministries 2017 Fundraising

818 Ministries is a ministry (soon to be a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit) dedicated to providing handmade hats + handwritten letters to patients facing serious illnesses.
This fall we are applying for our 501 (c) 3 status but have several other projects where we are seeking funding:
- Impact Squad visits: around once a month we visit different hospital settings to spend time with patients and their families while hand delivering hat+letter packets while we are there. Each hospital setting is different and somtimes there are additional elements involved (i.e. - a craft). At times there will be significant travel cost for these trips for our volunteers as well as supply costs.
- Supplies for events: we partner with churches, women's ministries and youth groups to provide a service opportunity by making hats and writing letters that we will donate. For our 2017 events, there is a cost for travel and supplies here as well.
- 2017 Budget: once we obtain nonprofit status in, Lord willing, 2017 we will also have events and programs next year that need funding to carry out our mission.
