Metzger Family

On Monday January 6th, 2020 Police Constable Jennifer Metzger was participating in the Basic Equitation Course at the Toronto Police Mounted Unit. During training, a strap from the saddle broke and she fell from her horse sustaining a critical injury . Jennifer has broken 4 bones in her spine and remains at Toronto Western Hospital. Thankfully she will not be paralyzed but faces a long and difficult road to recovery.

Jennifer and her husband Troy have two young children. Troy is an electrician and will receive no salary while off work supporting Jennifer and their children. All expenses in relation to Jennifer's salary and medical treatment will be covered by Toronto Police Service and WSIB.

This Go Fund Me is to assist with the short term financial challenges faced by the family.

Jennifer's hopes with this support is that she can have her family and husband Troy home with her during her recovery. 

She is grateful for her family, friends and Toronto Police Service family for the growing support and kind words.
