Zimbabwe Mission: Change through People

I'm guessing if you clicked on this, you know this much about me: Since a young age I have known that at some point in my life, I would be on a plane to Africa. I never knew when or where this would be, but there was no question in my mind that for whatever reason, I was being called to these beautiful people.
I can now officially speak of this life dream in past tense, as this summer it be my reality. On JULY 28, I will be hopping on a plane to ZIMBABWE!
I am lucky enough to spend a month on a mission trip with one of my best college friends Margaret Mason (the veteran African traveler and first girl in the world I'd choose to share this with me), as she was the one who made this all possible. Love that girl dearly!
Among other tasks we will find out later, the 5 of us teammates will be working hands on, traveling to different clinics in Zim delivering medical supplies, stopping at orphanages, leading church services, building a parsonage, and helping a woman in need in a wheelchair. We will be presenting money earned through a decathalon fundraiser (and other donations) to the town of Dzika to build a well so they do not have to travel miles on foot just to get water.
I have created this page for those who have already reached out to me asking how they can support my trip, and for those who are just finding out and would like to as well. Any donations are appreciated as my Guatemalan "family" is still being supported through my own babysitting and dogsitting earnings! :)
WIth your help, I will be making a difference to the people of Zimbabwe, as well as bringing back what I learned and how I grew from these experiences to share with my ever expanding circle at home. This is as much of an opportunity for growth for me as an individual as well as the community at home. I appreciate all forms of contributions- monetary and otherwise!
