MS Patient Needs Bigger Phonescreen

Donation protected
My name is Brenda, and amoung other disabilities, I have multiple sclerosis.  My eye specialist is not sure yet if my loss of periphial vision is directly related to the MS, or to a cardiac event Ihad last fall, but between that problem and general eye strain and age related worsening of the sitgmatism I have had for years, I am having more and more problems seeing smart phone screens clearly.  This is very important because I own a small online community, do freeance writing, and have medical providers increasingly using email, internet based medical therapies, and tracking software.  For years I used my tablet for most of those things, but it needs a $90 battery and even then I would still have problems with calls and text messages.

Recently, a good friend gave me every old handset they could find, and it was heartbreaking that none were compaticble with Net 10, my cheap service provider.  Then the eye doctor weighed in and said that really I needed to be 5" or bigger, and if I was going to try to keep the same phone for a couple years or more, the bigger the better.

I found a Blu Studio Android phone with a 7" screen that sells refurbished for only $89.  It is compatibe with the sim card for my net 10 service. My hope is that it has enough juice and power to not only be my phone, but also to track my medications, sleep, meal times, and nutrition intake like my tablet used to.  I also hope it will function well enough that I don't have to wheel around with my Aspire 5349-2804 laptop, which is quite heavy, as often as I have to now.

I live on my SSDI check, and when I make extra money writing it mostly goes to assorted creditors from a disasterous 2014 that saw me become the victim of harrassment, stalking, assault, and saw the wedding my fiance and I had dreamed of ruined the night before by the trauma of having my stepson go missing for 6 1/2 hours.

We are both still recovering from the emotional fallout of that and other events, and in the meantime both of us have developed serious medical issues.  Financially, we are both barely getting by, as we live seperately while sorting out everything that happened to us then, and what it means to us now.  My bio family is very poor, my adult children are burdened with debt and expenses of trying to also survive, and my adopted family is already helping other relatives in even greater need than I am.

While a "new" (actually refurbished used) phone may not seem like an important need, I can assure you that the headaches, optical migranes, miscommunications because I can't see clearly DO affect my health and my ability to be as independent as possible.  I hope that you will consider contributing toward my effort to get a phone I can use both as a phone and as a medical tracking device for the next few years, although all I can offer you are my prayers of thanks.

Thank you for reading, and for considering helping me.  Even a couple dollars will help.
