I posted a millionth status about how disgusted I was by the amount of gun deaths in this country, and a friend challenged me to donate money to a gun control lobby. Upon realizing I don't have a lot of money to donate, I realize our community does collectively.
100% of donations will go directly to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. The mission of the Brady organization is, as follows, from the website: To create a safer America for all of us that will lead to a dramatic reduction in gun deaths and injuries. Before you jump on me, believe me, I know we have a bigger problem than just guns. We have a lot of work to do on treating mental health in this country. But call me crazy; I just don't think contributing to a gun control lobby could hurt.
