Karen Williams-High Claw Project

Donation protected
Karen Williams has made the world a better place...NOW is our chance to make a difference in hers.  Our freind, Karen, was diagnosed with Systemic Scleroderma in 2005.  This debilitating disease causes hardening of her skin and internal organs, resulting in limited mobility, permanent crippling of her hands and feet and challenges of everyday living.  She often times travels to Cleveland Clinic to see many specialists, undergo a number of procedures, and withstand numerous treatments.  Due to the progression of her disease she will find herself wheelchair dependent and unable to venture far from home.  Currently she must navigate upstairs to go to the restroom and downstairs in her basement to shower.  Not only is this painful for her, she is at high risk for injury.  This is where we all come in.
We need your help, whether you are near or far, to rally around this wonderful family to make their needs a reality.  A local contractor has assessed their current living space and has determined that in order to provide the necessary accommodations, including a functional first floor bathroom, we need reach a goal of $30000.00
There are several ways you can contribute to this project:
*PRAYER:  Please pray for the Williams family and all others who have this terrible disease and that a cure will be found.
*FINANCIAL DONATIONS:  Please consider donating to this project.  Donations can be made through this gofundme account or to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, PO BOX 344, Pemberville, OH 43450 with memo line to the Faith in Action/High Claw Project
*TALENT:  Looking for electricians, plumbers, roofers, etc. to help in the completion of this project.  If you can help or know someone that can help in these areas or if you are willing to help as an individual or organization-please contact us through this site or the Facebook page.
*TIME:  We will begin working on this project at the beginning of the year.  Please consider helping as an individual or as an organization.

Despite Karen's grim prognosis she continues to inspire all of us with her positive attitude, great sense of humor, and appreciation for everyday life.  Years ago at her son's football and baseball games, when her hands became contracted and she was unable to clap, she would hold her hand high and yell "High Claw" to let the team know they did a good job.  For that reason we have dubbed this the HIGH CLAW PROJECT.  Join us on the inspiring, necessary journey to make a difference for this remarkable family.
