Evelyn for a new Hotwater Heater

Help! I am looking for someone to help out an 85+ year old woman in Sun City West. She has been without hot water since early this summer. Her elderly husband past away some time ago and she is very poor and cannot afford to get a new hotwater heater. I checked with Home Depot today and they quoted me for the cheapest 40 gallon electric hotwater heater with parts and labor at $1068.00. That is terrible! I cannot even afford it. Is there anyone that could do this at a much lower price. I will try and find people to pitch in to pay for this, but for a lower price. This lady is a neighbor to a relative of mine and we chatted the other day. She then mentioned her situation and my heart hurts for her. I did leave a message for her church and have not anything back from them. Please help if you can.
