Support for Caroline
Donation protected
Our friend Caroline has been battling a rare cancer, affecting mostly those aged over 60 and accounts for less than 1% of all cancers diagnosed.
Acute Myeloid Leukemia is aggressive . Devastatingly for Caroline, her chemo, stem cell treatment (rare white cell type making it difficult to find a match) and medical trials have failed to curb the spread. It has now spread to her lungs, and consequently her participation in medical trials has been annulled.
Caroline is mother to her 2 year old daughter, Elizabeth.
I've known Caroline since she was 3 months pregnant. At the same time, I've gotten to know 100 other mums in Australia and New Zealand, all of our kids due to be born in the same month as her beautiful daughter. We've become a very tight knit group and seek to ease the financial and emotional strain on Caroline and her family. For this reason, and for the deep love for our friend we have set up this Go Fund Me page.
Caroline, her husband Campbell, and Elizabeth have now moved in with her parents and is reliant on oxygen cylinders. The prognosis is not good, and she is preparing for the day she will no longer be around. She is a strong woman, but the financial strain and concern for her daughter (hoping that she will remember her mum) is heartbreaking.
If you have even the smallest amount to donate to this young family, please do so.
