I kick started 'The Fitness Diaries'​ in May 2014 for a small group of my friends.

My hope is to spread awareness on fitness amongst people who are living sedentary / moderately active lifestyles and bring home the message that making healthy life style changes is very much possible.

My goal is to drive home the point that eating healthy and staying active doesn't need to be an expensive affair / require personal trainers, nutritionists or even expensive gym memberships.

The Fitness Diaries is a free fitness group for like minded people. I run a closed group on Facebook to respect member privacy so members can interact with each other and share experiences, both good / bad.

Am proud to share that TFD currently has over 1300 members from across the world.

I come up with interesting and moderate to tough challenges for members to participate in, from the comforts of their home and at their own convenience.

All of my challenges have 2 components. A physical activity and a healthy food / meal option.

I currently track member activity from their posts and use an Excel sheet.
End of each challenge, I draw up leaderboards and give out rewards from my sponsors to the Top 5 participants.
This is to encourage and keep the motivation going.
As much as people are aware of the importance of good health, staying active to be fit, its only motivation that most people lack.
This is where my unique challenges and rewards come in.

With a growing member community, its getting increasingly difficult, to manually maintain participants data in Excel.

I am looking to build a free app for iPhones and Android phones, so my members can have my daily challenges delivered directly everyday on their phone and track their workout minutes and healthy meals via the app.
