Hello! My name is Nick Powers and I'm working towards marching my age-out season of DCI. As most of you know, Drum Corps is not a cheap thing to do. Every year I have bad luck it seems and can't complete a full season, but it has been the biggest dream of mine since going to my first Drum Corps show in Ocean Springs back in 2008. I have learned how to spin flag, toss a rifle, almost not drop a sabre (haha), and dance my tail off (including going to master classes, taking ballet and modern, and working with people to improve technique) in preperation for marching DCI and WGI for a few years now (I started colorguard in 2011) and I will literally break down if it was all for nothing. Color guard is my biggest passion in life, other than music, and I would love to fulfill my dreams. The corps I am auditioning for will be in the South this year, so yall will be able to actually see me perform.
I have worked so very hard to reach the level I have now, and can only get better from here. This is my last semester at the University of Southern Mississippi and I will be receiving my Bachelor's in Music. Due to it being so close to gradation, it's hard to keep a job especially with my hectic schedule filled with appointments, rehearsals, and practices. Any donation is welcome, even a dollar or two, because every bit helps. If you care about me, my future, or just feel generous; PLEASE donate.
