Weekend in Rokugan 2016

Weekend in Rokugan is the annual gathering of Heroes of Rokugan players, our very own convention dedicated entirely to playing Heroes of Rokugan stories and interactive events. This year’s highlights include four new module releases for HoR: The Nightmare War (Trial by Fire, Walking Through Shadows, Shooting Stars and Breaking Thunder, Broken Thunder) and a political interactive (Complex Maneuvers). The Nightmare War continues, and the heroes of Rokugan stand ready to fight it! Will you join them?

We will be having the gathering this year at http://oaktreeinn.com/hotels/kansas-city-ks/ hotel, which we have used in prior years, on . The funds from the go-fund-me would go to paying for the site, materials needed for the event, and costs to run the group.

Anything left will be given to charity. This year, the charity is http://bacaworld.org/ They provide help and support for abused children, giving them the strength to go to court to testify against their abusers, and have a real life. We will be collecting funds for them to use to purchase teddy bears and vests for the kids, and they help pay for children to have therapy after abuse. We will be donating to the local chapter in Northern KC.

We would ask people for attending to help with costs. Since we could not do a Kickstarter this year due to timing, this was the best we can do. Our event rental itself will cost 40 dollars per person to rent the site. Anything extra helps.  At the door, sign up will be 40 for adults, 20 for kids. As always, donations to the charity will be given certs in thanks, and the guys tell me there will be an onsite option, and nemuranai certs are available as a tier. (We will add more if there is interest enough.)

The site has a Sonic and an Applebees within walking distance. There will also be food available in the kitchen, and drinks. Soda, tea and coffee, and water. Cory has said he will make Chili for the gm's for Saturday.
