Winter Coat Lunch + Clothing Drive

This year several Seattle area churches are coming together to give warm coats and a meal to those who need them in the city. Denny Park Lutheran will kindly host the event on Saturday December 5th at 11am.
To prepare this meal for a couple hundred of our friends without homes in Seattle, will be expensive. We are trying to raise $1000 to put towards that, and will use any excess funds to go towards purchase of additional coats/supplies for those who need them.
If you'd like to help in other ways, WE NEED COATS. If you'd like to donate a new or gently used coat, there is donation bins at Denny Park Lutheran (located next to Denny Park), open on Sunday mornings if you'd like to drop off a coat. If you're unable to get to this location but would still like to donate, contact Oliver French at the form provided. Ideally, larger-sized coats provide flexibility for those recieving them.
We're also collecting new socks and gloves in addition to coats.
Lastly, If you would like to volunteer to help at the event, there are many opportunities to do so. Look through the list below and contact us with any positions you are willing to fill:
• Host to seat people
• Servers
• Folks to help fit and pass out coats
• Security to guard doors
• Food Preparers
• Hospitality floaters
• Shoppers to get the food
• Folks willing to sit at tables and talk with/listen to guests who come in to get a coat
• Event notifier runners (guys/gals to run out through the city on the day of and invite people on the street over to be served)
