6yr old in Intensive care. HME

Hello. I am posting this as his brother. My parents are just so worried they wouldn't have thought to set this up. I know that things didn't go to plan as they should have done. Now my brother is in intensive care. My parents are having to travel more than they expected. Mums had to take time off work. And dad is disabled so doesn't work. I offered my mum my pocket money but she politely refused. I'm hoping to raise some money for transport to and from the hospital. We would like to see my brother but we can't all get there. He's in Leicester and we are in Peterborough. We miss him so much. I would also like to be able to raise some money to get my brother a few nice treats to come home to. And a foam matteress topper As I know my mum his worried about the pain he will be in when he finally comes home. Here is his story. Hi everyone this is William had major chest surgery and we've only just learnt during surgery his lung partially collapsed. Hence why he was on oxygen when he came round. he is currently on a lot of pain relief drugs. The strongest being morphine. . We are also hoping to surprise him with get well cards. Even homemade. Can I ask everyone to share this and see if we can get him lots of cards sent. Even homemade. It would be amazing to see how far we reach and the longest distance a card for him travels. It would make him feel so happy. He really is a bit down today. I know some people may think what a cheek. And maybe I am asking too much. But I'm hoping a few people will share. It would be amazing to see his face light up.cards can be sent to his home address which I can send via pm. Thank u.

He has hereditary multiple exostosis. Which causes bone tumours to grow. It's a very rare condition. Usually grows internally or externally never both. He however is a ultra rare case and has it internal Aswel as external. There was 3 bone tumours removed. One a sharp edged piece less than a cm from his heart. Another just a few cm long. Then the biggest was 3&1/2 inch long and 4inch wide. Crushing his kidney and deforming his spleen. Pointing upwards into his abdomen. If they hadn't removed it when they did it would have punctured the kidney n spleen. Causing massive internal bleeding and requiring life saving treatment. They caused a slight tear to his kidney as it had become attached. His lung partially collapsed during surgery. He has lots of stitches internally. And external stitches but with the outer ones they then glued his skin shut so these cannot be seen and mainly so no infection can enter via the site. Part of procedure these days apparently. He has bruising to his lung, kidney and spleen. And obviously to the outside of his body. He will have lots of these tumours grow over time. And need them removing. Hopefully external ones as these are so simple to remove. They just shave them off n glue him shut. Day surgery for those. And thankfully the neck and head are different growth plates so should be unaffected. Small mercies there. Two more of our children have the same condition. We are awaiting results of their ct scans to see if they too have anything internal. They can become cancerous at any point. William has a shortened deformed little finger due to the condition. Causes pain and fatigue too. He will have a life time of operations as will his older sister and younger brother. These tumours grow their own nerve supply and this can cause nerve pain and nerve damage too
