Walk for Justice:2016 JonathanCarey

Welcome to the Jonathan Carey Foundation.

 Lisa and I have established the Jonathan Carey Foundation in Jonathan’s name, to do everything possible to stop such injustices as our son suffered while in the states care and help vulnerable children currently in care.

We are closing our family business named Solo Auto Sales, located at 90 Delaware Avenue in Delmar , New York , and are converting the use of the property into the office for The Jonathan Carey Foundation.  We are now currently able to accept charitable contributions, which are tax deductible. We are going to need your help, as well as the help of our entire community, to accomplish and bring about the necessary changes needed to insure the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children.  Thank you for caring, and thank you for considering supporting The Jonathan Carey Foundation. 

The Distance and time is approx 30 miles a day for 12 days. From the doors of the Justice center in Bethlehem NY,  the NY State agency whitewashing crimes against people in state care everyday, to the US Justice dept. In D.C.

The whole distance will be walked by Tom Cavanagh (age 62).

We are asking for support to cover the expenses related to the walk.  The reason for the walk is secure the civil rights of people in state care currently being denied. We are working to raise awareness about the unpunished crimes against societies most vulnerable and to make it stop! WE are working to secure emergency and police services for children in state care by changing the mandate of mandated reporters. We think they must dial 9-1-1 (Nine One One) when witnessing a crime. Shockingly, currently that is not the law. The legal mandate to report does not include the mandate to actually dial 9-1-1 or report to external police authorities not under the same direct state control as the agency under potential investigation. It amounts to self policing and the current 'honor system' is an abject failure. That is putting it politely. In almost all cases No local police are informed of a suspected or witnessed crime & No Medical EXAMINER or medical examination in cases of sudden or unexpected death. That is unlawful in all cases, and yet...Its goes on, and on...And on...

This is totally unacceptable, civil rights are for all people!

Handicapped lives matter too, even people in state care.

Tom Cavanagh is walking FROM NY TO DC in 12 days. We intend to meet with Justice dept officials and officially file federal charges against the Justice Center.

We also intend to stop by congress and ask they mandate a 9-1-1 call be made by mandated reporters in the case a crime is witnessed.
