A Place To Call Home

More than 25 years ago, The Lady in Red (Donna Rhinehart) inspired the Hash House Harriers Red Dress Run. The event spread around the globe and made a difference by raising millions for deserving charities. The event reflects the too-short life of The Lady in Red who dedicated herself to helping others.
Now it is the Lady in Red’s daughter Clare who truly needs our help.
Clare is just days away from having a baby. And, through a string of unfortunate circumstances that could befall many of us, Clare and her family have become homeless.
Clare, together with her 19-month-old daughter, Kip (her committed boyfriend of five years) and his 10-year-old daughter find themselves on the streets of Mesa, Arizona. Their respective families do not have the resources to provide more than limited help.
The critical need is to find them shelter in a stable environment.
After that, it will be important to help get them back on their own feet again. Kip’s livelihood as a garage door repairman was put on hold when higher liability insurance costs sidelined his business.
Clare’s baby is expected around February 6, so speed is of the essence. Can you help them today?
Any amount is helpful. If every hasher who reads this donated just the monetary equivalent of a six-pack, the family would soon be sheltered and back on their feet.
Thank you in advance for answering this call.
