Kelly's Kidney Donation Fund

Hi! My name is Kelly Hoye and I am trying to raise funds for help with lost wages and other related expenses during my recovery time for my kidney donation. I am self-employed so I don't have any type of short-term disability insurance or sick time or anything like that. I will be out of work and recovering for approximately 4 to 6 weeks (barring any complications ) and unable to work. All I am trying to do is cover my lost wages and pay my bills and keep my business intact through my recovery.

I am donating my kidney to someone who I don't know personally but heard about from a news story I saw in July about a man in Auburn, Massachusetts, who desperately is in need of a kidney transplant. This man is very sick and is married with 3 daughters. I was and am compelled to help this man and his family by giving my healthy kidney so he can hopefully live a healthy, happy life again with his family. And so I just need some help to get through my recovery and not risk losing my business or putting my family in any financial strain. We are tentatively hoping to be able to schedule the surgery in the next month or two.

Also, I will be donating any monies raised over the goal to the Donate Life Foundation and/or  the National Kidney Foundation.
