The Sufferage Tree
Donation protected
This is the last remaining Sufferage Tree planted in the grounds of Eagle House in Batheaston by suffragettes recently released from prison. It stands in the back garden of a retired lady who has already spent over £2000 maintaining it, over the years. It needs attention, now, but the Parish Council has been advised that they cannot contribute to the cost unless she signs over title to her garden! Honestly, the tree is a historic monument. We can do better than that!
