Swaziland World Challenge

I’m Ella and in 2020, along with a few other students I will be going to Swaziland, South Africa for two weeks. In those two weeks I will be visiting a village that has an overwhelming amount of orphans. They have lost their parents to AIDS and would like to remain in their village, however there isn’t enough room for them. I will be helping to build a shelter for the village so that these orphans do not have to be sent away from their other relatives such as grandparents and their friends. While I’m spending time with the orphans, I will be teaching them and playing games with them.

I will also be exploring Swaziland, meeting local communities and educating myself on their culture.

I would love to travel in the future and I believe this is a great start. Similarly, my passion has always been to help others that are less fortunate than me.
