Thank you 8 months ago, my little brother, Dan Hicks, was diagnosed with di-differential sarcoma, a very mean and aggressive cancer. He had surgery to remove the tumor from his femur. Due to how large the tumor was, his pevis and hip had to be replaced. He began intense therapy. As of recent, his doctor felt Dan needed to start 6 weeks of radiation, 5 days a week. His drive each day is 3 hours, 15 hours a week. In addition, he had a cat scan and biopsy of his lungs. It showed the same mean cancer. He now is facing more radiation, more trips. I am asking for any gift, small or large to help with the financial burdens of costs in fuel, meals and wear & tear on their vehicle. They also want to make a trip to Texas, the end of September to tell our mother about Dan's condition. Our mother, Norma Hicks does not know about Dan's illness. We chose not to tell her because at the same time Dan was in the hospital, Momma fell and broke her hip and had a very long and difficult recovery. In fact, she was in and out of the hospital several months. Her state of mind wasn't good with her own health issues, the news about Dan would have affected her progess and devastated her.l I'm asking a big favor, PLEASE DO NOT post anything about Dan's health or this GoFund me on Facebook. After discussing this with their daughter & knowing they are very private people, this fund raiser would be terribly embarrassing. They haven't asked for help or ever would. We have asked the Lord for a miracle of healing and are BELIEVING. The most recent Point of prayer request is for the muscles and tissues expediously be restored to normal. The radiation is causing severe stiffness and inability to mobolize in Dan's walking & movement ability. We serve a mighty God who is able.
