The Kinloch’s Surrogacy Journey

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

Welcome to our story. My name is Keisha and my husband is Travis. We’ve been together for 4 yrs...married for 1. Since the beginning Travis and I have prayed long and hard in hopes of one day becoming parents. We use to discuss how our parenting styles would be so different but gel perfectly as a team. We’ve discussed baby names, best school districts and believe it or not had deep conversations about who we think the baby would look like!

All of my hopes and dreams of carrying a child changed on March 23, 2018 when I was diagnosed with Endometrial Adenocarcinoma Cancer. Endometrial cancer is a cancer that arises from the endometrium (the lining of the uterus or womb). It is the result of the abnormal growth of cells that have the ability to invade or spread to other parts of the body. I began treatment to combat the cancer. Unfortunately nothing was working in my favor. After weighing all of my options we’ve decided, with the guidance of my amazing Oncologist, that a full hysterectomy would be the best option. That will remove the cancer while it’s still limited to my uterus.

I knew my chances for getting cancer was high due to my parents and grandparents dying of cancer. However; I never thought it would rob me of something I’ve wanted badly for so long......carrying a child and experiencing pregnancy.

Travis and I continue to stay prayed up and positive. We are grateful there are other options for becoming parents. We’re currently going through the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) process to have our embryos frozen. The egg retrieval will occur within the next month prior to my scheduled full hysterectomy surgery in January ‘19. Lord willing we’ll then begin the process to have a surrogate carry our baby for us.

This campaign is being created to assist with the fees associated with surrogacy. Every surrogacy case is unique and involves factors that can impact the overall fees and price. Our prayer is that we can raise at least half of the average costs from the support of our family and friends. No donation is too small.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and prayers. We’ll keep you all informed about our journey to surrogacy and my fight with cancer. We’re anxious to see how God continues to move in our lives. Please share this link with your family and friends as well as on your social media page.
