Please Help the Hoeffer's
Please help our family. We have two Autistic kids; Codey will be 19 on February 1st and Cheyanne will be 13 on February 7th. Both kids had SSI benefits at one point. After Codey turned 18, SSI told us that we had a family of 3, and that we made too much money for Cheyanne to qualify for anymore benefits. That was in May of 2015. So I started working with the hope that I would be able to make up the $733.00 a month that we then lost. I was able to find a job making $11.00 an hour working part time. So in October of 2015 it was time for us to reapply for medicade to help cover the kids medical expenses. We were then told that we made too much money for our disabled kids to qualify for medicade. The kids medications alone run upwards of $5,000.00 a month. Not to mention the fact that Cheyanne has a Neurogenic Bladder which requires her to be catheterized 5 times a day. Those supplies run $4,000.00 a month. My husband and I together gross $4,400.00 a month. My husband losses 35% of his income to deductions. We have private insurance, that has a $7,000.00 deductable. Our insurance will pay nothing toward the kids meds until that is met. We qualify for no assistance with getting these medications filled, because we have private insurance. We are asking for your help to raise $7,000.00 to cover our deductable, so that our insurance will pick up the kid meds and Cheyanne's medical supplies.
