Conviction Careers is a new 501c3 non profit helping people with criminal backgrounds find work. We have been in business since January 2011 and have helped almost 900 people find jobs. Over 80% of the people we have seen the past three years found work!
New non-profits have 5 years to meet fund raising guidelines to continue their non-profit status. We need to raise$43,102 by years end to meet that goal!
We have raised $880,000 but need to pass a funding requirement for the IRS to maintain our 501c3 status and continue helping people go to work!
We are extremely efficient and it takes about $1,000 per client to provide the services needed to get ex-convicts working and productive. This saves taxpayers millions by reducing the number of ex-convicts who commit new crimes. Studies show the reduction is at least 50% which translates into millions of dollars saved by our services.
In addition, we get requests from around the nation for our services. We would like to develop online training materials that could be used to teach our techniques to anyone with access to a computer. Meeting our funding goal would allow us to continue and expand our services.
We are taking a serious bite out of crime by helping put people to work after they got in trouble with the law.
