Medical Mission Trip to Ecuador

I am currently an LPN to RN student in my senior year at Manchester Community College. Each year the Nursing Department participates in a Medical Mission Trip to Ecuador through Timmy Global Health. During the Mission Trip, clinics are set up in at various sites around Santo Domingo to provide health care screenings and services at no cost to poverty-stricken people within Santo Domingo and surrounding communities.
After attending the initial information meeting regarding the details and mission of the trip, as well as doing my own research about medical mission trips, I have made the decision to participate in what I hope will be a life-changing and eye opening volunteer experience. I believe that this will be an incredible opportunity to serve others in need and experience a very different culture and region of the world.
This year, the trip is scheduled from January 5th-13th, 2019 and the total cost is $2250. This includes flights, meals, transportation, and accommodations, as well as clinic supplies and medicines. With that being said, I am sincerely hoping, and would be so grateful, for your support and any donations to help me meet the financial obligations of this trip.
I am so excited to not only have this opportunity to help people truly in need, but also to use my skills as an LPN and nursing student while volunteering alongside a team of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and other volunteers who share my same passion for helping people in less fortunate situations.
