Helping the Shaw's

Alexis and Mike Shaw are two of the most generous and genuine people I have ever met.  After arriving home from a trip on Sunday evening this newly married couple found both their cars completely full of water and their entire house flooded. The water has risen to the top of the mantel.  All of their personal items, furniture and clothing has been destroyed. So many of you have what you can do. Right now their immediate needs are being met by family and friends... a temporary place to stay, a car to borrow and time off from work. The past few days along with the community they have been unloading the house, sorting and trying to make the best out of a bad and tragic situation. The only thing I know to do as their friends is to help out monetarily so the wait for some kind of insurance or assistance won't seem so long. Luckily they have flood insurance but as crazy as it is it only covers structure and not the contents.  Any assistance is appreciated to help them through this difficult time and will go straight to the Shaw's. Any amount will help. They will need to purchase new furniture, washer and dryer, linens and all the little things.  Please join us and continue to pray for this young family and all those around them.  It's amazing what we can do together.
