Trisomy 18 journey

Donation protected
Jan 2018 those two pink lines appeared our family was finally going to be complete. we had prayed and wished and planned for just one more baby.

June 12th 2018 at 22weeks into our pregrancy with our baby girl we were referred to a level 2 ultrasound. Doctor said it was nothing big they just couldn't get good pictures with the normal scan. After our scan that day the whole world crashed on us. Over facetime the doctor said your baby has soft markers for Trisomy 18....and has a 2percent chance of living. I'm sure he said more after that but i was stuck trying to process that phrase. Trisomy 18? 2 percent chance? My perfect baby I just seen on that screen what do you mean something is wrong?

We used a blood test called claritest that checks for chormosome disorders to try and get more answers. After 2 weeks of pure hell the results were in.....Trisomy 18 postive.

Doctors don't know what that means for our baby BUT they do push for comfort only care. The gave up as soon as it was confirmed she had Trisomy 18 but we haven't and refuse to give up so after much hell we are pushing forward.

Our family will relocate 3 hours away from home leaving our toddlers and life behind delivery out miracle baby. During this time we won't be working and even though it feels like our world has stopped the bills will keep coming.

Please if you can help in any way do so. Even if you don't want to supply money. We are asking for gas cards food cards ect to help us during this time.
