Fight for Melissa
Many people have asked me what they can do to help Melissa and her fight to have more time with Jack. At this point in her journey, the ONLY option that is presenting itself in the natural is for her doctors to find a specialist that can keep her from dehydrating and starving to death. These components - not a result from her original diagnosis of Dysautonomia and POTS - have left her fighting harder than EVER to have moments with her son Jack. As you may know last week her line for fluids and nutrition was removed from her chest and neck. When they put it in 5 months ago we were told that there were no more available places. Since the removal, her physicians have been searching hospitals/ specialists all over the country in hopes of a way. Unfortunately, after 7 years her body is shot. It's having trouble even excepting infant IVs. At this point, any further medical care would have to be outside of what her insurance will cover. They are already garnishing her husbands wages due to the enormous medical debt that has mounded. ANYTHING FROM HERE ON OUT AS THEY SEARCH FOR A SPECIALIST WILL HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET. Melissa and I are believing that God is going to provide a specialist, and when He does, she has to be ready with the funds to go and receive the care and treatment that we know God will provide. Time is NOT on our side and so at this point, the ONLY thing I know to do is to rally behind her and create a fund that will be ready when she gets the call. How much is needed? I have no idea. But I do know that any donation, of any size, will help immensely. She just doesn't have the funds to do this on her own. And she would never ask this of anyone. But thanks your funds, it was made possible to even attempt it. God is working in mighty ways and we are praising Him every second of every day! A lot of people are asking how they can help. Update on Melissa Consin Young! As you all know, we are moving into Round 2, where she will be heading to the Mayo Clinic this weekend. I am believing that God is able to provide her with everything she needs - in every capacity. And I know with our help, God's blessings will continue to pour abundantly down on her. So do I feel like I need to give everyone an update on her fund. Right now, we are sitting at $2500 raised, which is AMAZING! I cannot thank you enough for what you have done!! God bless you!!! We are $12,500 away from hitting our goal and y'all she needs us! I broke it down and if each of us - ALL 500 of us - just donated $25 more a piece, we would hit it and we HAVE to hit it before she leaves! She has got to prove to them that she has the funds available for them to treat her. And she leaves on Sunday! We have 3 days and I know we can do it! We have stood together, prayed together and now we have got to FIGHT together for Melissa!! She needs us!! Good Morning My Dearest Melissa, I woke up way early on a day where i could and should have slept in, but you were and are on my mind. I am praying for you fervently again Melissa. We are not ready to let you go, and I am praying that God will give us many more miracles with your health, that today, when you wake up, you will be feeling stronger again. These tears that are flowing are not wasted tears,they are tears to God to let him know that our nation our country still needs you to inspire us. Last week when i was out to your place to help get you some peace of mind and joy back after the evil ones stole the peace, I was in even more and complete awe than i have been since we met that wonderful day in Janesville. Joshua 1:9 is your life verse and yes you are so courageous and you battle so strong always. This year i became a better man, and all that credit really goes to you my dear friend, for you showed me things and told me things and gave me things to really grasp and appreciate.
