Mental health problems are a huge issue in young people in the UK. I know from personal experience that people suffer in silence and don't seek help due to the "Crazy" stigma attached. I lost a very good friend to suicide when I was younger and have suffered with depression my self.
I want to put on a Hip Hop project called 'The Expression Sessions'.
Where we will be tackling the issues mental illness can cause, studying all aspects within our power as people that we can do to empower ourselves against this silent killer and make plans and music about tackling it.
We will be descussing coping strategies and plans for recovery throughout the project and supporting each other on the way.
Due to a few refusals from certain funders to fund this project I feel the need to call on the public to help raise £7000 through this go fund me account Which will run the project for a full year.
Anyone can turn up and take part and I urge people to do so if you suffer in silence. The most important thing you can do is take charge of the issue with like minded people.
