No School Lunch Debt: Pennridge
Donation protected
Food insecurity is a big problem, even in Bucks County. Low-income families that don’t qualify for the subsidized federal school lunch programs often have to choose between paying bills or paying for their next meal. 16% of children in the county are in this situation; in a classroom of 25 students, 4 cannot be sure they will have dinner each night. 100% of all contributions will pay the current lunch debt balances owed for ALL Pennridge School District students, which is currently about $1000. I have personally committed to paying off this debt and I need help in doing so. The next step will hopefully involve implementing a new county-wide program that supports school families that are experiencing food insecurity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We can do this.
