Newly Widowed And In Need Of Help

Here is my story I was with my husband Leland for almost 15 yrs and when we first met we worked building patios and refurbishing old homes and we made pretty good money and I was always preaching to him about getting some life insurance just in case he would always agree with me to shut me up but never acted on it. Then he got sick and was no longer able to work. Then it fell on me to work he would find the jobs and I’d do the work if it was a big job I’d hire some men and go at it like one of the guys I’d end up running circles around most of the men I hired but the jobs got done and we all got paid. Then Leland got real sick had to be put on life support for a min when he was able to come home I finished the job we had started a couple months before and we moved to lake Isabella where we just lived everyday trying to make him better we no longer looked for work to do and we lived everyday trying to get him better. After about 2 months of living in Isabella I got in touch with my family after being estranged for 15 years plus and I went to visit for a week in battle mountain Nevada while I was there my little brother gave me a camp trailer and told me if I ever needed it he would bring it to me wherever I was at so when I got back home Leland and I talked about it for about another 2 months and he wasn’t liking it in Isabella all that much so we packed up the Jeep with what would fit and our dogs and we moved to battle mountain Nevada when we got here my step dad went to Elko and picked up my camper from my brother. Leland and I lived on my moms property for about a month and in that month Leland and I put a roof on my moms trailer together he would put 2 fifty foot hoses on his oxygen machine and roll it over to the side of my moms trailer and climb the ladder to the roof and we would spend the day up there laying down shingles everyday till it was done to earn enough money to move my camper into a space at an RV park in town. When the roof was done we made space rent of 325.00 and 300.00 cash we were out on our own we moved my camper that day into an RV park in town. Leland was doing really good for the first few months he rebuilt a pocket motorcycle with my nephew tony and he wanted to go out and do things together we went hunting for crawdads we went swimming in the river with the kids Leland and I just watched them swim but he was enjoying himself. Leland and I would get dressed up nice and go to the colt casino and play 20.00 a piece and sometimes he’d win and the next day we would go shopping for stuff to improve our camper. These active days lasted for about 2 years then Leland started getting sick again his CPOD started flairing up and filling up with fluid we would go to the clinic here and they would give him a round of prenesone and antibiotics and he’d be ok after about a week but he was never as active as he was the first 2 years we were here I wanted to find a job but leland said he needed me at home he didn’t like being by himself so I stayed home and we lived off of his income alone which at that point it was only 700.00 a month we talked about life insurance but he never acted on it maybe I should have but really didn’t understand how to do it. Well the day came that Leland got sick enough to be airlifted to Reno and he spent a week in the hospital there were we found out that he had stage 4 liver and colon cancer that was a pretty big blow it was the end of march 2018 and because I was living in the car at the hospital and couldn’t afford to get a room there Leland refused to stay in the hospital any longer he checked himself out and he wanted to go home so I took him home we made appointments with an oncologist in Elko who in turn referred us to huntsmans in Salt Lake City Utah when we finally made it there they told us he was incurable they could try and fix the tumor on his colon maybe if he could improved his breathing but other than that that’s all they could do for him that was the 3rd of May I brought him back home and on May 6 he passed away he was at home were he wanted to be but it was the worst day of my life not only because I lost my best friend but because now I had to start looking for work that I am able to do Leland taught me a lot of things things that could help me earn a lot of money if I were still able to do them but my physical health isn’t what it was when I learned all this stuff and I’m not able to do the things I was able to do back then and because I haven’t worked a real job since 2000 I have no work history to speak of and now I’m struggling to catch up on my rent and pay the phone bill so I don’t loose my phone and the electric bill that’s over a 100.00 any help I can get right now would be welcome and apritiated thank you and god bless
