Green Grapes Black Hands Documentary

I have some wonderful news regarding Green Grapes Black Hands! I have teamed up with CNN News Anchor, Ron Roberson, to transform Green Grapes Black Hands into a documentary. Unlike the book, the documentary's main focus will be the history of the African American experience in the San Joaquin Valley. A history which is unknown to many. I will operate as line producer for the project. Roberson has offered his expertise and professional direction to bring GGBH to the screen! Ron Roberson is the producer and director of Miracle Productions. With Miracle Productions he has worked with some of the top names in show business such as: Whoopie Goldberg, Johnny Brown, Isaac Hayes, Chaka Chan, Ray Charles and many more
Although Ron has offered to provide his services free of charge. We still need to pay for city permits, gas, food, P2 memory cards ( these alone are $400) and accommodations for at least 3 other production crew members. We will be shooting mainly in Central California (the whole production crew is from Southern California) with some shooting in Southern California.
My journey still continues even after the book is bound and listed on Amazon. I am moved by the feed back, enthusiasm, and support by my friends and family. Green Grapes Black Hands has received raving reviews! As I continue to state "This book is for my elders, past and present." I am simply the messenger because information is still being revealed, family and even strangers are sharing their stories with me about life in the San Joaquin Valley through phone calls, email, letters, and/or in person
Please contribute to making GGBH a documentary. This rich part of California history needs to be seen and shared! Thank you in advance!
