KSCFD Honor Guard 1938 Seagrave

Donation protected
On September 11, 2005 myself and another firefighter purchased this 1938 Seagrave so that we could do something very honorable. The engine served for many years with the Baltimore City Fire Department as Engine #42, and now will serve a very important role here in Florida.  I am a Lieutenant with Kennedy Space Center Fire Department in Florida, and a member of the Transport Workers Union Local 525. Here is my goal

... This fire engine was bought for the purpose of carrying the caskets (a caisson) for our Brother and Sister firefighters whether it is from natural causes or a Line of Duty Death. It will also be used to represent the fire department at different events and functions through out the years. Over the past 12 years we have come a VERY long way in restoring this fire engine by ourselves and with the help of just a few individuals helping with the actual work done on the truck. Contributions have come from the retirees of Kennedy Space Center Fire Department and many other generous people. This fire engine is "NOT owned or operated by the fire department". As a result, this is why there is no budget or funds to keep this truck running except by DONATIONS and our own funds. We are now at the very end of our restoration project and the MOST important one. The engine itself, which provides power to move the truck is in DESPERATE  need of major repairs. It also NEEDS to be brought into the 21st century, so that it will not break down while carrying the casket of our fallen Brother or Sister firefighter! Unfortunately, there are VERY few individuals who can repair an engine that is this old and rare, and also a flat head V12. We are trying to raise these funds to bring the engine a new life and for the repairs that are needed. With a NEW motor and drive train we will be able to Honor our firefighters, families and their friends when that very solemn and time Honored tradition comes. To provide the Firefighter Funeral with full honors which each and every firefighter derserves for his/her service and sacrifice to their communities and to the United States in protecting Life and Property. Your donations WILL definetly help in my goal to provide these services. My sincere appreciation goes out to everyone for their support for ALL firefighters who place their lives on the line each and everyday for the people of the United States and throughout the world! Please help and pass this around to all your friends, family and everyone who will take a look and help reach our goal!! This is a BEFORE and AFTER picture of when I received the engine. This is what I have accomplished so far and now have to get the ENGINE and DRIVE TRAIN along with some other work done to complete this incredible project. May we NEVER FORGET our Brother and Sister Firefighters!
