550km Charity Ride from Adelaide to Melrose

My friend, Lachlan Smith, and I are riding 550km along the Mawson Trail to Melrose in the southern Flinders and need your support to raise money for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy.

The Australian Wildlife Conservancy owns and manages over 4.6 MILLION hectares  across the country,  including 5 major sanctuaries located right here in South Australia. One of which is the Buckaringa Wildlife Sanctuary, consisting of 2,000 hectares in the central southern Flinders Ranges, which is where we will be riding to.

The AWC uses their land to protect more species than any other non-government organisation in Australia including  72% of all mammal species and 88% of all bird species in Australia

Nearly 80% of AWC staff are based in the field implementing fire management, feral animal control and world class scientific research.
With 84% of their expenditure on conservation programs, and only 16% on fundraising and administration combined, raising this money for them will have a significant benefit

AWC also protects some of the largest remaining populations of iconic Australian species such as Numbats and Bilbies.
