My husband is the man who dumped chicken poop out on the sidewalk near the Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington Virginia, where the owner had kicked Sarah Sanders out, simply because she works as Press Secretary for our President, with whom the liberal owner does not agree.
My husband went from our home in Northern West Virginia to Lexington to make a political statement against the double-standards and hypocrisy of the liberal left. He wanted to show that people really CAN protest, without being hateful or violent, and even can throw in a bit of humor (come on, "RedHen-chicken poop: there is humor there!) In fact, the screaming and name-calling that had been happening just before he did it actually DID stop. People listened to him, then they laughed and cheered, when he dumped his bucket on the sidewalk! Humor stopped the violent hate-speech, if only for a moment! He was very careful to make his identity and his intentions known to both the crowd of protestors and the half-dozen police officers present at the time. He was careful not to actually get anything on the building, and not to get anything on any of the other people protesting at the time.
He was arrested, as he expected, and was charged with littering and with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, even though he was not violent toward anyone, threatened no one, and caused no physical damage to anyone or anything. He has his first court appearance on Friday, July 6, 2018. He is disabled and unable to work a real job (which is why he was able to pick up and go, on Tuesday). The possibility of large fines and up to 6 months in jail are what has prompted this GoFundMe account. If you are able, and you support his right to peaceful protest, and agree with the fact that there is a real double-standard in our country today, please help out with whatever you can. Thank you!
