Support for the Jewell Family

I am trying to raise money for a family very dear to me that is fighting the horrible battle with cancer.

Willie is a 34 year old married father of two and was diagnosed with testicular cancer in October of 2014. He endured the removal of the right testicle with a 20% chance that the cancer could return even with the reassurance that they got it all.  This surgery meant he was off work for two weeks and he is the sole provider for his family. In August of 2015 another mass in the left testicle was found and also showed an enlarged lymph node in his abdomen. The doctor was very concerned and wanted to do surgery right away so surgery was scheduled for three weeks later. By the time the surgery date arrived the mass had doubled in size. Surgery was a success to remove the left testicle with another two and half weeks off work. Radiaton was scheduled to start a month after surgery. Within that month the lymph node in his abdomen had grown more and another enlarged lymph node was discovered. If the lymph nodes do not respond to radiation treatment then chemo is the next step in this battle.

Currently this family is traveling from east of Woodland, Wa to Kaiser North Interstate  Portland, for five days a week of radiation. Willie is currently still working, to support his family, regardless of feeling nauseated and sick from radiation. Brittany is home being a mom to Gunner 7, Bowdy 1. Grandparents have kept the boys every other day to give them a break from sitting in the doctors office for Daddy's treatment.

My goal is to try and raise money to help with the gas to treatments and all of the medical costs. So far the surgery alone was $4,000.00. CT scans, ultrasounds and testing was $1700.00. This does not include any fuel costs or radiation billing.

Willie and Brittany are very thankful for the two boys that God blessed them with and the prayer that Willie can conquer this cancer to see the boys grow to be men. The Jewell's are thankful for any bit of help that people can give. I know I see these gofundme ads and feel almost overwhelmed but I have to step back and think that even $10 can be stretched quite a ways.
