Fighting for Peyton
Last night our family received the most devastating news you can get. Peyton was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer. He's has Pontine Glioma and it's inoperable. Chemo doesn't work for this type either. He can either go home on hospice or we can try too do radiation which we choose to do and that will prolong his life to 3 months, maybe a year if we're lucky. He keeps telling everyone he's going to heaven but he doesn't only know he has an owie in his head that they are going to give him medicine and he won't feel it after awhile. Please pray for a miracle for him. Childhood cancer sucks

Above is a post made by Katie loving, devoted Mother of Peyton. We are asking for your donations to help this family through this tragic time.

Thanks everyone for the donations and prayers! A lot has changed in the past 2 days with Peyton. We had a meeting yesterday about a new treatment that's never been tried on anyone before and it sounded promising enough that we signed the papers and they were able to get Peyton in for new scans today and he started the treatment today. We are still in shock but the scans came back that his tumors are stable. We are thanking God right now. We pray these new meds will help Peyton and future kids with DIPG. We need to keep raising additional funds because one of the meds he will start taking in a month is not covered and cost $1,600 a pill. The nurse is working on trying to get the pharmaceutical company to fund it but obviously for something this expensive we aren't going to wait to start raising money in case it's not. Also treatment can last up to 2 years. It all depends on how Peyton's doing. Thank you all

Thank you to everyone who has followed Peyton's story! Every single day Peyton amazes us with his strength & courage! Each day we have been spending making as many memories as we can and loving Peyton as hard as we can. Now that Peyton has finished radiation we are waiting for his referral to the University of Michigan to explore what trials are out there. Peyton is on hospice right now but we still have a small glimmer of hope that a cure will be found. We will never give up hope until the end!

Hi, I'm Stephanie Vasquez Katie Dennis' cousin and I started this campaign with her and the families permission. We wanted to thank everyone for helping her & Peyton out with expenses and prayers.
I will be withdrawing the money in my name and it will be placed in an account for the family to pay for Peytons funeral, medical expenses.
Thank you again for all your prayers and donations
