Create A Search And Rescue Unit

My job is about done here in port Arthur. This is day 8 of search and rescue. We were one of the hardest hitting teams in houston, we were one of the first boats on the water and we followed this storm out of houston all the way to orange, tx. I'm running on 2 hours of sleep and very little food and water.

Many people are like "oh you're a hero". No I'm not. I'm a 19 year old who many still refer to as a "kid" with a bay boat who couldn't stand to sit around and play video games like many other 19 year olds would in this situation. My friends and I put our lives on the line knowing exactly what could happen in the swift water out here in the major flood zones.

I'm creating a search and rescue unit from this point on. The name of the unit will be "Hellions Search and Rescue". All funds will go Towards getting our team out fitted with swift water boats, taking rescue classes, buying rescue gear, and prepping for the next big flood. We had an amazing person donate a facility in houston for our unit. It's already in the works. We will be able to store all of our equipment here, store our boats, and have a full staging area for our unit. We will also be able to stay there during the storm so we can deploy immediately.

I plan on using the donation money for -2 zodiacs with high output motors
-2 airboats
-repairing a large lifted truck for towing boats in high floods
-food and water
-rescue equipment
- a trailer

I refuse to sit around and watch Houstonians and our neighbor states suffer due to the lack of boats. Our team will be one of the first units on scene at natural disasters in order to provide relief and rescue others from floods. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
