To my beloved community,
I am reaching out in dire need of your help! Many of you know me, and know my husband Damian, as we have been an active part of this community for over a decade. He and I have been married for 13 years. Together we have built a beautiful life here in Santa Fe. I own a business, Body Flow Santa Fe, I work at the Co-Op and teach fitness classes at Railyard Fitness. Damian is the founder of Juicy Foods, and had just started teaching fitness classes as well. We love our life here.
Recently, in our second attempt with lawyers, Damian was denied the right to return home to Santa Fe, even though we are legally married. This last round of the legal process required reams of endless paperwork as well as overwhelming legal fees. Thankfully he is currently surrounded by family and friends in Mexico, but our life has been torn apart. We so want to continue our life together in this community where we have built our businesses, our support network, and together, have always called home.
In order to facilitate his return there are many things that will need to take place, and unfortunately, one of the most daunting things is the cost. We will need another round of lawyers, which is beyond expensive. I am suddenly facing the reality of a single income household, attempting to keep our home and both businesses going, and working as much as possible in order to try and chip away at this mammoth task, not to mention the emotional turmoil this has evoked. The bottom line is that I cannot raise enough money on my own. I will work every hour that I can, but Damian and I were a team, both working together for our goals, and now I am alone, trying to keep our lives going and raise money.
I do not like being in the position of asking for financial support, but my love for my husband, and our situation of real need, outweighs my pride. Anything that you can contribute, including keeping us in your prayers, will help. We are eternally grateful to you, our community, for your friendship and caring over the years, for your love and support always.
