Emma's Wheelchair Car

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Emma. I am 5 and live with my mum in Edmonton, QLD, Australia. I have quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and Dystonia. I need my wheelchair to be mobile at home, at school and to play with my friends. Please help my mum buy us a modified car so I can travel in my chair and mummy finds it easier to take me places.

For the past couple of years mummy has been transferring me from my wheelchair into the car seat. She also picks up the wheelchair and lifts it into the boot of our car. Mummy has got no help and because I love eating so much I have grown strong and tall. Sometimes I bang my head on the door frame of the car because I wriggle around so much that mummy finds it hard to position me. It always hurts a bit and mummy feels guilty for not being careful enough. My wheelchair weighs 25kg and mummy struggles to lift it since she had to stop exercising due to work and fundraising for my therapies. I do not like mummy to feel guilty and to struggle so much.
The new car is a Kia Soul. It is a funny looking, small car, just big enough for mummy and I. After government funding we have to pay $45,000 for the car and the conversion.  Mummy hopes that she can sell our current  car for a good price so we can put $10,000 towards the new car which leaves $35,000. This ist the amount we hope to raise by Christmas 2015 as both the car and the conversion have to be paid for by the end of December so that we can have our new car at the end of February 2016.
Giving money to someone you do not know is always tricky. If you wold like to get to know me and my mum come and visit our page: https://www.facebook.com/1EmmasQuest?ref=hl

Your donation and buying this car really means a lot to us. Mummy has been looking after me all by herself and worked and fundraised without break just so I can attend therapies. Mummy never had much time to spend with me as in the afternoons she was tired from working and most of the weekends we spent fundraising. Mummy never liked to ask people for money, she always sold raffle tickets, cakes or sausages or organised events. This is the first time mummy is asking for money - because I told her to. I just want mummy to be my mummy, take me to the park, to visit friends and fun events instead of making me go with her to sausage sizzles, cake stalls and markets. Your donation can make this possible.

Thank you!
Emma
