Remember, the Flintopia/hq building is here for YOUR use Flintstones. We are glad so many people have taken advantage thus far: Flint Seed Democracy, Edible Flint, N.A., Sweet Willie Tea, EDM events, church groups, birthday parties, weddings, music & art shows.
We prefer to cater to artists, musicians, and "Green" people in Flint; however, all are welcome! All we ask is that you assist us in keeping this resource available to the community until we can completely fund ourselves.
Flintopia the neighborhood is not a business, it is a group of people agreeing to live within the same geographic boundaries (The Eastside Green Innovation Zone) and grow their own food in order that we may all live in abundance, which IS achievable!
Flintopia also has a non profit, intentional, sustainable community development organization operating within the boundaries of the Eastside Green Innovation Zone in conjunction with the city of Flint's 20 year Master Plan. The non profit allows us to receive donations with a tax-free incentive to the giver; and, it allows us to apply for grant monies (still looking for 3-5 tenacious grant writers, part and full time. Experience not necessary if you're a go-getter!).
Our Mission is to create cultural structures of belonging, physical and figurative, for an intentional, sustainable community within the boundaries of the Eastside Green Innovation Zone through Permaculture food systems, sustainable housing development, art and performing arts saturation, and civic leadership education.

Humane Society planting with the original crew: 2013
As of March 2015, Flintopia has been operational for TWO whole years, wow! and we've only been in the city of Flint since September 2013. The funding for this entire program comes out of our own pockets, and we are happy to do it! Altogether, we spent over $60,000 of our own money so far. That's right! We stepped up and invested in The Future of Flint!
TWO great ways to help Flintopia if GoFundMe isn't your thing:
~drop off donations: furniture/appliances/wood/seeds/insulation/ wooden pallets/cardboard/newspaper
Gas allows us to keep as many empty lots mowed as we possibly can and to run errands, give rides, pull people out of the snow, etc.
We ask that you please share our page and show your support for The Rust Belt, The Midwest, The Great Lakes, Michigan, Genesee County, Flint, and The Eastside!
$5 for gas is always right on time! Thanks in advance! :^D
