4,000 WATER BILL Oak Park, Mi.

I am an Oak Park,  Michigan resident, I have been renting this property for over 5yrs. My bill has always been between 200.00-300.00. All of a sudden I received bill for 872.00 and expressed my concerns to my property management company (Garner Properties Management) they sent someone out to check for leaks along with someone for water department, nothing was found. Next bill was close to 4,000.00 again someone was sent out, a decision was finally made to change the water meter and have it tested. On the report back from the test it states that the meter was not performing at a normal operating level, but they claimed I should have been charged more because it was not registering properly. So if it was not registering properly...that means it was defective in some sort of way.  The owner of the property is not assisting me with trying to get this resolved. Also, since the meter has been replaced I just received the bill and it is back down to normal 238.00. I should not be responsible for readings under a faulty meter. I am currently not in a lease I have been month to month since January 1, 2017. I have all the documentation to prove my dispute.   I would be so grateful if I could get any small donations to help me resolve this issue, so that I can have a peace of mind.
