Get Me To The Invictus Games Toronto

Last year I was blessed to be a part of the Invictus Games in Orlando! When they announced at the end of the Invictus Games that they would be held in Toronto in 2017 I knew I had to be involved again!
The Invictus Games were created by HRH Prince Harry to bring awareness to visible and invisible wounds of our wounded warriors from around the world! The inaugural Invictus Games were held in the UK in 2014!
I know I post a lot about the Invictus Games and the amazing experience I had there last year! I started the process for volunteering for the 2017 Invictus Games in November 2016! I submitted my application and renewed my passport. I then waited to receive news if I would be granted an interview! In March I received a phone call asking me to set up my interview for the next day! I remember being so flustered because my friend Angie had her interview in late January, early February. I was told in my interview that I should know by the first week of May!
On May 2nd while I was on break, I saw another hopeful volunteer post that he had received his assignment! I rushed to the volunteer portal and found I had been selected as well!
I will be traveling to Toronto from Tuesday 09/19 to Monday 10/02! I will be providing my own transportation to and from Toronto, as well as paying for my own housing. My friend Angie and I will be splitting the cost of an apartment that's a 10 minute walk to our venue at the Sheraton Centre Toronto! I will be using vacation time from Disney to supplement my income while I'm gone, but I will still need to pay for food and potential fun things while I'm in Toronto!

I'm told by my friends, family, and coworkers that my whole demeanor and face change when I talk about the Invictus Games!
