MEDICAL FUND for HAPPY YOGI & WENDY

Donation protected
We want to thank everyone for following Yogi's journey with her sister for the last few years. Although Yogi has gone COMPLETELY BLIND now and is fighting CANCER, we're hoping and praying for many more years we can all have with both of them. Many of Yogi and Wendy's FB friends have generously offered to help financially with their medical bills. As a result, we started a Go Fund Me for those that wish to contribute to their healthcare. As always, Yogi and Wendy and her family thank you all in advance for your love and support. For those of you who don't know Yogi's story, please continue reading. Back in June 2013, Yogi's owner of 11 yrs walked into the San Bernandino Animal Shelter and abandoned her with the staff. This shelter is well known to have a "high kill rate." She was a perfectly healthy, beautiful Pom/Corgie mix which led the staff to inform her owner that since it's an "owner surrender" Yogi would be put down because of her age if no one adopted/rescue her within 24 hrs. Sadly, this did not stop Yogi's previous owner from walking out the door. Of course, I cried and cried for hours after seeing her before and after photos and video online. Her happy face turned into confusion and sadness as she watched her owner walk away. I will never forget that horrible day. However, I will always remember the day I drove 4 hrs round trip to rescue Yogi! Her whole body wagged and she had a huge smile as she hopped into my car and came home with me. She was so HAPPY to have a yard to run and roll around in AND she got a new sister on wheels, Happy Wendy! She now had a mom, dad and sister... Her forever family to live out the rest of her senior years. Recently, our happy, sweet Yogi was diagnosed with diabetes and her health rapidly declined. She went from 15lbs to 9lbs in what seemed to us to be overnight. She also started to lose her hearing and now she is COMPLETELY BLIND. In addition to her diabetes, we soon thereafter found out she had CANCER that spread all over her body. The vet said she had only 6 months to live. Maybe 12 months if she was lucky. Currently, we are trying to control her diabetes with insulin shots twice a day, multiple vitamins, and figuring out a way to fight her cancer. Possibly surgery? But we were told surgery would not be an option with uncontrolled diabetes. Within our many trips to the vet, Happy Wendy, Yogi's wheelchair bound little sis might now have cancer as well. The vet found multiple lumps on Wendy that are similar to Yogi's. The doctor would like to do surgery on Wendy to remove the lumps and test them to determine if they are cancerous. So many of you have showered them with your messages of love and prayers and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will continue to share pictures and videos of the girls as much as we can and will update everyone on their health. Again, thank you for your support. MUCH LOVE and GRATITUDE ALWAYS, HAPPY YOGI, WENDY and their FUR PARENTS
