Hi I’m Godfrey,
I have been lucky enough to have been selected to represent Australia in the UCI Junior World Track Championships. They will be held in Aigle, Switzerland from July 20 - 24th, 2016.
This is huge honor for me to participate on the world stage for Australia. Opportunities like this present themselves rarely in a career and I want to seize it with both hands. I will give it every ounce of effort in my preparation for this event and make my family, coach, friends, supporters and country proud of me.
Cycling Australia has set the levy at $6750. This includes training camps, international travel, accommodation, meals, staffing, team clothing, licenses & insurance.
In addition to this levy I will require additional funds to cover other expenses pre and during the event. (i.e. passport application). As my family isn’t in a position to financially support this trip any contribution large or small would be greatly appreciated.
I will need to be well prepared in order to do my job as an Australian ambassador. Once this financial goal has been achieved I can totally focus on my preparation of doing the best I can.
I will be departing late June to attend the training camp and aim to be funded by this time.
I greatly appreciate any support you can offer me, as this is my first world championships and it means a great deal to me.
