WHATEVER IT TAKES Adoption Journey

Whatever It Takes!!! This has been our motto from day one of our journey to become parents. Our journey has been filled with heartache, pain and loss. But it's also filled with hope. We've dealt with infertility for over two years now. After trying on our own, fertility treatments, and lots of prayers without any luck, we have made the exciting decision to move forward with adoption. We were recently approved by Adoption Choices of Framingham and are extremely blessed and excited to continue with the next steps of this process.
Ever since we have been together, we have shared the dream of having a family. We know that deep down in our hearts that Adoption is way to make our dreams come true. We are fortunate enough to have the love and emotional support of our families and friends with this decision. That being said...
As you may know, one thing that stops many people from adopting is the cost. The process can cost $40,000 or more. Although the possibility of adoption has always been in the back of our minds we weren't exactly prepared, ourselves, for this much of a financial burden. The money spent in an adoption is put to good use. A portion of the funds, for example, goes toward counseling the birth mothers through their pregnancies, helping them through the difficult, selfless decision they have made. Another chunk goes toward our home study, which consists of education, interviews and paperwork to ensure we are prepared to become parents through adoption. Expenses for travel to potentially meet the birth parent and to be there when the baby is born are also part of the cost. We also will need to hire an attorney to finalize the adoption after the baby is placed with us.
Most of you know that we are not typically people who ask for help from others, however, we have made the humble decision to seek support in our mission to begin the next chapter of our life.
We appreciate you taking the time to read our story!
Thank You,
Jamie & Julie
