Hello everyone, if you ever had the privilege of meeting my amazing little brother then I would consider you a lucky soul. I am reaching out to friends, family and others who are reading this story. On the 27th December 2016 Ashley, unfortunately was in a very serious car accident requiring him to be airlifted to Coventry hospital. During his stay there he was well looked after by an amazing team of doctors and nurses. Ashley was put into an induced coma and has been in a comatose state since the accident although having some awareness of us being there. We have had a fair share of ups and downs and the doctors have said this would be a roller-coaster but Ashley pushes through every single obstacle in his way, he has been transferred from different hospitals and Rehabilitation Centres and having done full circle is back in Coventry where we feel he will get the best support for his condition as is. During this time my mum has been staying with Ashley daily and is currently staying in various Hotels near the hospitals which is taking a major financial toll. One of the reasons for this is that we are trying to raise money that would help with the costs of accommodation and visiting for her and family. Also, and more importantly going forward and praying that Ashley gets better, we would be looking at raising more money to make life a little bit easier for him during and after his time in hospital. We will be using the funds for things like i.e. “to help our family make changes around the home to suit his needs if needed”, “getting away for a holiday for him” “buying anything that makes his life better whilst in and out of the hospital” “anything that you think of that would help him” but as we do not know what the future holds for him we can only try and plan and hope for the best. The ladies in his life are doing a Colour Run on the 3rd June in Milton Keynes. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the incredible young man in our life. I’m sure the boys will do something as well. Ashley is an incredibly caring, loving and down to earth guy. He has touched the lives of so many people and we are hoping to give him an easy start to the next chapter in his life. He brought so many smiles to everyone's faces. Maybe we can return the favour him.As well as the GoFundMe we also felt that we should give you the choice to donate instead to a charity that we feel saved his life, “The Air Ambulance.” After speaking with different family members some felt that they would prefer the money to go to charity and we thought others may want to do the same so we decided to do both to allow everyone the chance to decide in which way they want to support without having to feel obligated either way, we just thank you for your love and support. With everything that we do and raise please let us know how you would like the your support to be distributed.
