Dominican Republic Service Trip

For those who are reading this, Hello, my name is Michael Soto and I am a third year Criminal Justice major with a minor in Spanish at Rutgers University. This year I have been given the wonderful opportunity to travel to Dominican Republic during spring break as a service trip.Each year, The Rutgers Center for Latino Arts And Culture forms a delegation of students to travel to Santo Domingo to learn about Dominican cultural and political history along with the deeply-rooted social divides within the country. Through interacting with citizens from school children to politicians seeking the change necessary for the country, I will be able to do my part in their history. As well as assist their communities and provide donations to every community we visit. I am seeking assistance in order to embark on this rare oppurtunity in a country which has always been a distant home for me and my family. The cost of the trip is $800 which covers flight, accommodations, donations (toiletries, school supplies, etc.). Thank you for taking the time to read this and learn about this potential experience.
