HockeyAnalysis.com has been around for 10+ years, stats.hockeyanalysis.com has been around 8+ years and Puckalytics.com has been alive for a year and a half now.
I have been delivering advanced hockey statistics to hockey fans everywhere for almost a decade now. I'd like nothing more than to build Puckalytics.com into the best hockey stats site ever - as user friendly as ExtraSkater.com and as feature rich as War-on-Ice.com. That is going to take a lot of time, effort and money.
My initial goal is modest and really is only a tiny fraction of what really is required to ensure a single awesome hockey stats site will live on forever. If we can't reach this goal there is no way I can justify the time and effort to build out Puckalytics. Here is your chance to show that you want a single, awesome, long lasting hockey analytics site and that you want Puckalytics.com to be that site.
Some of the things I want to add to Puckalytics.com are:
-Game by game stats
-Score adjusted stats
-Playoff stats
-Improved WOWY (maybe 3 player WOWY for forwards)
-Visualizations
-I had a request for a WAR/GAR stat which I am open to adding
-Possibly hosting community tracking projects like the pass tracking project
-Date ranges would be awesome but this can be costly/challenging.
-Fully integrated salary and salary cap info (could be a partnership with an existing salary cap site)
-Support the project and I'll add your requests to the todo list.
-Hopefully keep all this free without a pay or subscription model.
Oh, and if I am busy building out the site, I'll shut up about shot quality. Well, for a little while maybe. :)
Update: I have opened up UI development. The project is found here. Feel free to participate the the development, help test, or make suggestions/requests.
