Every day - from newly born to grandmothers in whealchairs - hundrets of people reach the Greek island of Leros.
Most of them leave behind settled, normal lives, driven by war, hunger and violence and are additionally traumatised from their dangerous trip through Turkey an over the sea on overcrowded rubberboats.
When they reach Leros, wet, cold and hungry they are in need of everything : good shoes, warm clothes, waterproof backpacks, baby-carriers, medical assistance .. before they caan continue their journey up north.
Leros Solidarity Network volunteers offer immediate help, support and care .. day and night. The volunteers hard work is supported by MsF (Médcins sans Frontières) and the UNHCR.
