Anti rejection medication costs

Praise God! January 15, 2017 I was given a second chance! I was redeemed. I am one of the few blessed to say that I received my kidney transplant before succumbing to the condition of End Stage Renal Failure. What a blessing it is!

But with that blessing comes much responsibility and financial strain. My task DAILY, now, is to do everything to keep this organ from rejecting. No, it's not clear road to recovery once you get a transplant. The human body is an amazing entity and recognizes it as a foreign object and will try its best to reject it... it could happen today, it could happen 40 years from today. But that's where you all come into play. First off, KEEP PRAYING! And also, I need your help. The medication to keep my immune system at the level they need it at and to prevent me from getting any infections is $9000 a month. Yes, you read that right. And that's not including my other meds.

Of course Insurance helps with some, but not all. I am posting this as an outcry for help. Not pleasing but leaning on the body of Christ to make a way. I know you all have priorities and families and life itself. But any help is appreciated. That includes SHARING THIS POST AS WELL! You all know how God works, when we Give he Blesses us ten fold!

Thank You, Henry Isaac Hayes

Just want to update that it has been 8 MONTHS since my transplant. My body is adjusting to it very well. I still have certain days and moments where the meds and body fight, which makes me very ill; otherwise I am doing exceptionally. I was actually able to finally meet the family of my Donor! Although he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on, within myself and all of his loved ones!

I am feeling much better daily! But the road is still long! The goal is to make it to 1 year first and then year 3 is when I can resume a normal (working, traveling, etc) life!

Of course, with not being able to work, the bills pile up, and monthly med costs persist, I remain faithful and positive knowing HE will always help us find a way! He has never let me down.

My family thanks you all for your help and support in whatever shape. We love you!

Just want to update that it has been 6 MONTHS since my transplant. I have spent 21 of those days in the hospital with various treatments to prevent rejection. The possibility of this happening never stops. So I have to stay on top of everything.
