Niko's Surgery

On the night of Feb 5th at 2:30am, Niko was out front going to the restroom. Theres usually NEVER anyone driving in this particular neighborhood that late, but this night was different. I watched as a silver mini van turned the corner on an adjoining street. The vehicle continued to speed up and was driving in the incorrect lane. Niko took 1 step towards the pavement and was struck on his right side. The impact forced him down and the mini van continued to drive over him with both sets of wheels. They immediately slowed down, then proceeded to drive away in a speedy manner as I ran screaming and yelling towards them. Miraculously, Niko only suffered a ruptured bladder from the incident, but unfortunately I was left with the decision to either put him down or perform emergency surgery at a 24hr Vet office. Needless to say, Niko has racked up a substantial amount of bills due to the accident. Niko, as well as myself, thank anyone who helps support and aid in giving Niko a second chance at life.
